Building experience that counts

The In4ra Management Programme

A structured pathway into work across IT support and infrastructure, central administration, digital sales and marketing, and human resources — through supervised remote placements arranged with colleges, universities and Jobcentre Plus.

Our vision

Talent shouldn't be limited by a lack of experience

Getting meaningful experience while studying — and then a first professional role afterwards — is one of the hardest parts of any career. Employers ask for experience that people have not yet had the chance to get, and that applies as much in administration, marketing and HR as it does in IT.

The In4ra Management Programme exists to break that loop. Participants do real work in a real business across a discipline of their choosing, with a named supervisor, structured objectives and weekly support — and come away with a certificate, a reference and something concrete to talk about at interview.

Every placement comes to us through a college, a university or a Work Coach, so it is properly supervised and counts towards a course or programme.

Who it's for

A pathway for every stage of the journey

Whether you are still studying, newly graduated, changing direction or working with a Work Coach, the programme meets you where you are.

College students

On a T Level or similar course with an industry placement requirement, placed with us through your college.

University students

On a placement year, sandwich year or shorter placement arranged through your university.

Graduates and career changers

Building experience in a new field, usually through a course placement or a supported scheme.

Jobseekers

Referred by a Work Coach through a sector-based work academy placement or work trial.

How the programme works

Choose a discipline, then see how it connects to the rest

You join in one area and go deep there — but you also see how it fits alongside everything else, which is what turns a placement into an understanding of how a business actually runs. These are the areas open at the moment; others open at different points in the year.

IT Support & Infrastructure

Service desk, troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 and the infrastructure behind it — networks, backups and monitoring.

Central Administration

Coordination, document and workflow management, scheduling, communication and reporting across the business.

Digital Sales, Marketing & Business Development

Digital outreach, content and campaigns, market research, social media and commercial reporting.

Human Resources & People Operations

Recruitment coordination, policy development, employee relations and HR administration, all under supervision.

While you study

Built to fit around a course

Placements are arranged with your institution, so the hours and duration are set with your studies in mind rather than in competition with them.

Hours agreed around your timetable, not against it

Fully remote, so study and placement do not compete for travel time

Objectives set with your institution before you start

Weekly check-ins that fit around assessment periods

Placement length agreed up front and stuck to

What you gain

Overcoming the barrier everyone runs into

Limited experience, a competitive market and no professional network — the programme is built to deal with all three, whichever field you are heading into.

Experience that counts

Real work in a real business, supervised properly — the thing employers ask for and most people cannot get.

A named supervisor

Someone responsible for your placement, not an inbox. Weekly one-to-ones throughout.

Structured training

Objectives agreed before day one, with training built around the discipline you have chosen.

Certificate and reference

A certificate of completion, a professional reference and a written summary of the skills you developed.

Exposure beyond your discipline

A view of how the areas of a business connect — useful whichever direction you go afterwards.

A clearer sense of direction

Time to find out what you actually enjoy before committing years to it.

For colleges, universities and Work Coaches

How placements reach us

Placements are arranged through an institution rather than applied for directly. That way every placement is supervised, counts towards a course or programme, and starts with objectives agreed in advance.

Colleges

T Level industry placements, with the hours, objectives and review points agreed before the placement starts.

Universities

Placement years and sandwich placements under a placement agreement, with reporting back to the placement tutor. Guest lectures and live project briefs where useful.

Jobcentre Plus

Referrals through sector-based work academy placements and work trials, arranged with the Work Coach.

A note on pay

Placements arranged through these routes are unpaid, because they form part of a course or a government-supported scheme and are covered by that arrangement. We do not ask anyone to work unpaid outside a recognised placement scheme — where we need productive work outside one of these routes, that is a paid role.

For students and jobseekers
