The first year

Every graduate follows a structured first-year programme designed to build confidence, skills and professional credentials.

Months 1–3

Induction and foundations

  • Structured onboarding with a dedicated buddy
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification support
  • Shadowing across all service areas
  • First client-facing responsibilities
Months 4–6

Specialisation begins

  • Assigned to primary team and role
  • Role-specific certification pathway begins
  • Regular one-to-ones with line manager
  • First independent client work
Months 7–9

Growing independence

  • Leading on smaller projects and tasks
  • Contributing to team knowledge base
  • Mid-year performance and development review
  • Mentoring newer team members
Months 10–12

First year review

  • Full performance and salary review
  • Career development planning for year two
  • Certification achievement recognised
  • Progression pathway confirmed

  • A degree in IT, computing, cyber security or a related subject (2:2 or above)
